Dr. Darren C. Conine is an enrollment management specialist experienced with establishing relationships with key higher education constituencies, building momentum, and growing enrollments to support the strategic mission of the institutions he has supported.Darren is motivated by his drive to remove barriers that impede students from considering or enrolling in higher education institutions. Especially in light of a generation of students with already heightened anxiety and stress due to external factors impacting our world, Darren is focused on ways to de-stress college enrollment by simplifying the process and making information more accessible and transparent for students and their families.In his current position as the Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management & Institutional Strategy, Darren develops and oversees the college’s strategic plan for enrollment, new initiatives and program growth. Darren is responsible for developing and refining a multi-year; robust and innovative comprehensive enrollment strategy designed to meet and exceed the enrollment goals of a growing college, which has helped Merrimack College become one of the most transformative and fastest growing institutions in the nation over the past decade. Darren has been with Merrimack College for 10 years.Prior to Merrimack, Darren held several positions at Northeastern University in the areas of international strategy and enrollment as well as institutional enrollment operations. Darren holds bachelors and master’s degrees from Northeastern University and earned his doctorate in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania.
